連勝文上午宣布參選，要做「公益市長」，市長的薪水將全數捐出，市府人事處指出，台北市長的月薪為19萬500 元；另也有年終獎金，依當年核定公務員年終獎金標準核發。

按月薪19萬500元計算，乘以12個月，年薪是228萬6000元，任期4年，總共可領的薪水為914萬4000元。但市府表示，這是市長可到的薪水，不包含健保費等其他費用，因此每月入帳金額應該不到19萬元。
